Detroit, Michigan, Washington, D.C., February 22, 2018 – Seventeen people were killed and more than 15 injured in a mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, last week, bringing the total number of school shootings in the country to 18. Parkland and the nation is still mourning the loss of the young lives and wondering what to do to protect our children? What are we doing local to keep our schools safe?
